Actually, if you look closely at the stairs to the righ you will see the water line reaches much higher.

Easiest car there is to rebuild. Not very much electrics/no electronics. hope it's saved.

Had a friend in 70's that had one of these. Had plastic floor no carpet. Drilled hole in floor. Cleaned out car w/ water hose after weekend drinking binges w/ friends. Bet reason this one didn't float away because of open back window.

If it is the owners car. Bugs can float for some distance too... The Popouts were open in the back... The seats were stuffed with HorseHair... Can you Imagine what that car must smell like now? I would still love it, Make a Great Project!

Too bad the quarter window was left open. The inside of the car has been ruined. Not saying it wouldn't have been with the windows closed but it would've stood a better chance.

The bug's are about the most water sealed cars. If those windows were shut then it probably wouldve floated!

Anything like years ago and the VW people will replace it with a new one so they can show it in their advertising.
